Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels is a grassroots charity responding to some of the most urgent needs in our communities — from homelessness and addiction to isolation, poverty, and vulnerability. We exist to support those who are often unseen, unheard, and unsupported.

We meet people where they are, without judgement. Whether on the streets, in crisis accommodation, or at our outreach points, our team is consistently present, offering hope, practical help, and the belief that change is always possible.

Who We Are

Founded on faith-driven compassion, Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels is powered by a team of staff, volunteers, and partners committed to restoring lives. What began with street outreach has grown into a multi-service organisation with projects that span emergency support, housing, outreach, restoration, and community care.

 

Every person we support has a story. Some are escaping abuse. Some are fighting addiction. Some are simply trying to survive. Our mission is to stand in the gap — with dignity, empathy, and hands-on help — and walk with people as they rebuild.

What We Do

Our work is broad, but deeply focused on supporting the vulnerable across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Our core services include:

• Street Outreach through our Angels Responders team, including Monday and Saturday night services and management of the town centre Safe Space

• Short-Term Emergency Accommodation via our Temporary Bed Unit, managed in partnership with Blackpool Council’s Housing Options team

• Supported Housing through Angels Rest, offering next-step accommodation with wraparound support

• Social Enterprise through Angels Restoration, providing upcycled furniture sales, volunteer placements, and pathways into employment

• Community Support including practical aid, emotional support, advocacy, referrals, and coordinated care with local agencies

 

Every project is designed to restore hope and reconnect people with a future they can believe in.

 

Why We Exist

Blackpool continues to rank as one of the most deprived areas in the UK. Behind the headlines are real people — battling housing loss, mental illness, trauma, and loneliness. Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels exists because many fall through the gaps in traditional systems. Because no one should be left behind. And because lasting change takes more than temporary fixes.
