Volunteer with Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels
Be part of something meaningful. Join us in restoring dignity, hope and safety in our community.
At Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels, volunteers are the heart of our mission. Whether you can spare a few hours or commit regularly, there’s a role that fits you—and in doing so, you’ll help bring light where it’s often dark.

Volunteer Stories & Impact
“Volunteering on outreach changed how I see people. I met someone one night who had nothing—no phone, no clothes. A chat and a cup of soup made them feel seen. That’s worth everything.”
“In the workshop, we turned an old cabinet into a stunning piece for resale. I learned new skills and felt proud—while also helping fund someone’s bed move on.”
FAQs
Do I need experience?
No. All roles come with training and support. We believe love and willingness matter more than prior knowledge.
What time commitment is expected?
It depends on the role. Some shifts last a few hours, others may be longer. We’ll match you to what you can realistically commit to.
Will I be safe?
Yes. Safety is paramount. All volunteers undergo induction, safeguarding training, and are supported in pairs or teams. You will never be asked to operate beyond your training.
Can volunteering lead to paid work?
Yes, in some cases. Volunteers who show commitment, growth, and reliability may be considered for paid roles, where available.
