At Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels, volunteers are the heart of our mission. Whether you can spare a few hours or commit regularly, there’s a role that fits you—and in doing so, you’ll help bring light where it’s often dark.

• Are committed and reliable—turning up when scheduled

• Respect confidentiality, dignity, and boundaries

• Work team‑wise—listening, supporting, and being accountable

• Attend induction and training sessions

• Communicate well and ask for help when needed

How to Apply

1. Complete our volunteer interest form 

2. We’ll invite you to meet the team, talk through your interests, roles, and availability

3. You’ll join induction and training, then begin volunteering in a supported role

4. We pair you with a mentor or buddy in your first shifts

5. We stay connected—listening, adjusting roles, encouraging growth

FAQs

Do I need experience?
No. All roles come with training and support. We believe love and willingness matter more than prior knowledge.

What time commitment is expected?
It depends on the role. Some shifts last a few hours, others may be longer. We’ll match you to what you can realistically commit to.

Will I be safe?
Yes. Safety is paramount. All volunteers undergo induction, safeguarding training, and are supported in pairs or teams. You will never be asked to operate beyond your training.

Can volunteering lead to paid work?
Yes, in some cases. Volunteers who show commitment, growth, and reliability may be considered for paid roles, where available.
