Angels Responders

On the streets. In the moment. Always present.

Angels Responders is the collective name for all of our street outreach projects, placing trained volunteers and support teams directly into the heart of Blackpool to offer help, hope, and human connection.

Whether it’s supporting individuals out late in the night-time economy, engaging with those sleeping rough, or simply being a consistent presence in places others overlook, Angels Responders exists to meet people where they are, with compassion and without judgement.

Our Outreach Activities

Saturday Night Outreach – Night-Time Economy, Blackpool
Every Saturday night, our teams are present across Blackpool town centre, offering a calming and supportive presence to individuals out in the night-time economy. From offering basic first aid and welfare checks to helping people get home safely or reconnecting them with support services, we serve as a visible point of care in an often chaotic environment.

Safe Space – The Place, 1 Clifton Street
We manage the Safe Space facility in partnership with local agencies to provide a welcoming, secure location for anyone who finds themselves vulnerable or in distress during the night. Whether someone needs a seat, a phone charge, support, or just to be listened to, Safe Space is staffed by trained volunteers ready to respond calmly and effectively.

Monday Night Support Outreach – Banks Street Car Park
Every Monday, all year round, regardless of the weather, Angels Responders are stationed at Banks Street Car Park from 7pm. We provide more than just hot food and warm drinks. We offer advice, conversation, emotional support, signposting to relevant services, and help accessing longer-term solutions. We build trust over time, showing up week after week for those who need it most.

More Than Just a Food Outreach

While we do provide food, our Monday outreach in particular is not just about meals. It is a vital point of engagement, a lifeline for individuals experiencing isolation, housing insecurity, addiction, or mental health challenges.

We listen, we advocate, and we act. Our volunteers bring kindness, resourcefulness, and persistence, offering practical help and meaningful conversation in a non-judgemental environment.

Who We Help

Angels Responders supports:

  • People experiencing rough sleeping or temporary homelessness

  • Those in crisis during nightlife hours

  • Adults facing mental health struggles or addiction

  • Individuals disconnected from support services

  • Anyone in need of compassion, conversation, and connection

No two nights are the same, and neither are the stories of those we meet. We don’t assume, we don’t preach. We respond.

How You Can Support Angels Responders

Being There. No Matter What.

Angels Responders is built on consistency, trust, and the belief that no one should be invisible. Whether it’s Saturday night in town or a freezing Monday evening by the seafront, our team is there, ready to respond, connect, and care.

Because sometimes, just showing up is the first act of transformation.
