Community Champions

Be a voice. Be a connector. Be the difference.

Community Champions are everyday people who use their voice, connections, and influence to support the work of Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels in their local area.

You don’t need to volunteer on the streets or work behind the scenes. As a Community Champion, your role is about spreading awareness, building relationships, and helping us grow support in the community — through your network, your voice, and your initiative.

 

What Is a Community Champion?

A Community Champion is someone who:

• Believes in the work of Blackpool and the Fylde Street Angels

• Is happy to raise awareness in their community, church, workplace, or network

• Wants to help, but might not be available for frontline volunteering

• Supports our mission by connecting people, resources, and opportunities

 

How Community Champions Help

• Spread the Word
  Share our updates, events, and stories through conversations, social media, or community boards.

• Introduce Us to Others
  Connect us with people, businesses, churches, or organisations that might want to help, donate, volunteer, or collaborate.

• Host a Small Event
  Whether it’s a coffee morning, church collection, raffle, or information stall — it all helps raise awareness and support.

• Encourage Local Giving
  Suggest us as a chosen charity for local fundraising, workplace donations, or church missions support.

• Stay Informed and Involved
  Keep in touch with us, receive updates, and share insights from your community about ways we could help or be supported.

Our work relies on community — and that includes people who aren’t physically with us day to day, but still make a huge impact by:
